why reading matters
Tasha showed me this preview page for a new BBC4 programme called Why Reading Matters. It's a neuroscientist's look at reading and all the things it unlocks and enables. From this there's a suggestion that new technology may "threaten the values of classic reading". I'll be watching with interest, especially seeing as my last post seems to suggest it might be pushing me the other way, back to a book that I love.
