everything just works on the council estate

I've seen loads of things I'd like to write about in the last couple of weeks, but haven't had a chance to do so because things are so busy at work. I'll start catching up this week, but for now I spotted this excellent Pot Noodle piece on Dave Birss's excellent Dictionary of Specific Generalities blog. He's right, we've seen this idea a lot, but I think it really works as a pastiche on the Honda and Guinness spots which claimed the basic idea as their own, and received a lot of praise. And the pay-off line at the end is really rewarding, too.
